Since 2017, I paid Humana about $700/per for Medigap that includes dental. In the last year, I needed three filling due to enamel cracks. Humana paid $0 benefit. The reason for exclusion is that my dentist uses a different, but better fill material that what is covered. Humana only covers “Amalgam/Composite” fillings. Dental insurance is often dirt cheap and definitely worth it. I’ve never paid more than $10/paycheck for it. I’ve been lucky and not needed more than exams/cleanings but dental procedures can get expensive so I’d definitely never want to have to pay out of pocket. Obviously different insurers have different quality plans.
